This beautiful photo shoot was photographed at Capron House (part of the Cowdray Estate) which is located approximately 50 miles SW from the centre of central London-.

Capron House is in the town of Midhurst which is absolutely beautiful and ‘quintessentially English’ . Capron House itself used to be the town’s Grammar School and the famous writer H G Wells attended there.

I was inspired by the stunning location and ceiling to floor windows of The Pearson Room where our photo shoot was set. The Colonial style Artwork on the walls (Viscountess Cowdray’s Grandfather, Alistair Maynard MBE painted them himself inspired by his time spent in India) set our colour palette perfectly, we wanted to adorn the stunning original marbel fireplace with the most vibrant and colourful floral design that we could, creating a vibrant backdrop for our model Layla.

I drew upon images that I had studied of Audrey Hepburn bridal modelling for Givenchy and the photography of Horst P Horst (Mainbocher Corset) to create this classical and glamorous look. Our model Layla wears a stunning corseted fishtail dress from Morilee by Madelaine Gardner (5108) and completely re creates the elegance and style of Audrey Hepburn in this dress- its figure hugging bodice and Fish tale create the most elegant of feminine shapes. As well as the antique fireplace with flowers form the amazing French floral designer Lydie Dalton, we also photographed Layla reclining on the incredible antique chaise owned by Cowdray House.... exactly as you would expect from the Lady of the Manor!

Layla’s hair and make up was created by Cara Macdonald MUA and Sammie Chard (your event stylist) Their brief was to draw on their knowledge of 50’s and 60’s hair and make up elegance and they did an amazing job- we think Layla looks the epitome of beauty and class.
